Business Days is social networking platform for Romanian businessmen and entrepreneurs. The purpose of this event is to create a healthy and durable entrepreneurial culture in Romania.

Business Days started in 2010. The event takes place every year in 4 cities from Romania: Iași, Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest and Timișoara. The events aim to stimulate the business environment to be more dynamic through inspiration, experience and opportunities. The CEE Entrepreneurship event is part of Business Days’ events dedicated especially for the entrepreneurial culture from the Eastern and Central Europe and it takes place once a year in October in one of these cities: Iași, Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest and Timișoara. Sebastian Vaduva was invited as a speaker from their very first edition. Students from Griffiths School of Management are part of the organizing team as volunteers since its inception.

Integrity Summit

The Integrity Summit for Prosperity is organized by Transparency International Romania, Emanuel University of Oradea and Cityside Education, with the support of local business and public entities such as Rotary Clubs, Chambers of Commerce, universities and NGOs; with the intent of promoting integrity as a key element of success in developing the public and private business environment. The Integrity for Prosperity Summit consists a series of events destined to identify optimal solutions for the challenges that the business people confront with. These are some of the cities that the event took place in: Bucharest, Bistrița, Timișoara, Zalău, Sibiu, Brasov, Tg. Mures, Constanta, Craiova, Rm. Valcea and Arad.

The Informatics Caravan

The Informatics Caravan is a project started by the Griffiths School of Management and PIN. It has the purpose to encourage the Romanian economic environment and support its major unique story of success. The IT&C industry is one in which Romanians had and have a word to say in the global technological area and this needs to be known by Romanians, especially by the youth who want to have a realistic professional trajectory in relation to the world we live in. The caravan aims to disseminate and raise awareness about the industry, develop a civic spirit and encourage people in learning, understanding and assuming the changing technological environment of the fourth revolution.

iStart Business Plan Competition

Every year, Griffiths School of Management runs a business plan competition called iStart, with the purpose of supporting and accelerating entrepreneurial skills and creativity. iStart Business Plan Competition is intended to simulate the real-world process of entrepreneurs soliciting start-up funds from early stage investors and venture capital firms. iStart objectives aim to educate future entrepreneurs in the process of creating and evaluating new business ventures, to prepare future entrepreneurs for opportunities that will arise during their careers and to harness the unique resources of what Griffiths School of Management and its community offer. Some of the ideas shared at iStart Business Plan Competition were implemented into real life and were successful.

Griffiths School of Management Annual Conference is the place where knowledge and business practices are brought together in the business environment from Romania. This unique event is dedicated to challenge and empower every businessman from Romania to embrace the role of change agent and create the environment that is needed in order to prosper. The conference brings together representatives of the business environment, the civil society, the public administration and the academic environment for creating the integrated and applicable solutions. Also, the conference contains a special session where academic research is presented. Papers from the conference are published with Springer.

Oradea Tech Hub

Oradea Tech Hub is a non-profit organization created by a group of enthusiasts from the tech environment. The objectives of Oradea Tech Hub include supporting tech start-ups, creating and administrating a co-working space for start-ups in the area of hi-tech, the growth of the number of software and hardware specialists from a market with high demand, capitalizing the local IT&C competencies and their representation at a national, European and global level, forming and developing a functional network between SMEs, the academic environment, research institutions, political decision and business factors. It also supports the development of the industry, innovation and positioning Oradea as a professional destination for product development. Sebastian Vaduva is one of the founding members of Oradea Tech Hub and supports its involvement within the local IT&C community.
